Sygns’ configurator allows for design and price previews, but for direct ordering, your file upload is limited to SVG or PDF. Alternatively, you can upload any other file format and their designers will vectorize your upload. You will then receive your individual configuration within 24 hours in your inbox.

Delivery is worldwide by the provider's own account, and installation is either yours with the supplied manuals or handled by a service team in Berlin and selected cities.

Despite the configurator, the official ordering process runs through a quote. You upload your design and configure the product, then, according to the provider, a free offer with preview follows within 24 hours. Standard delivery time is 3 to 5 weeks after order confirmation, faster against a surcharge.

3. Schneidwerk Hohl: metal letters from a heritage manufactory

Schneidwerk Hohl from Stuttgart has been making letters and lettering in its own manufactory since 1928, founded by Robert Hohl and his sons. Cutting is done with waterjet and laser technology, and the metal depth is unique in this entire comparison: stainless steel, brass, tin bronze, bronze, copper, Corten steel, black steel and aluminium, plus acrylic glass in several variants. The references run from Porsche Design through the Schiller-Nationalmuseum to the Dresden Zwinger.  

Lettering and other pre-made cutouts can be bought directly in their online shop. You can choose from pre-selected materials and sizes and upload your file (in eps, ai, dx, pdf ).The classic ordering route applies: upload your file, fill in the inquiry form, wait for the quote. There's no preview of your logo in place but you can order a sample box to get a feeling of how the material looks in real life.

Best suited for: high-end metal letters with manufactory character, especially brass, bronze and tin bronze for representative facades, law firms and even yachts.

4. Leuchtcenter.de: a craft business with a 24-hour quote

Behind Leuchtcenter.de is DQuadrat Werbetechnik from Göppingen, founded by Deniz Dikme.

They offer 3D profil letters that start at around 130E per letter, light boxes and advertising pylons, Smart-Home integration LED designs 

The promise: a free quote including visualization within 24 hours, production in 2 to 4 weeks, delivery and installation in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Support with building permits and installation is part of the package.

Best suited for: illuminated profile letters with personal service and on-site installation in the DACH region.

5. Buchstaben Jäckel: the biggest assortment in the classic model

Jäckel produces in the Ruhr area in its own manufactory and, by its own account, supplies over 20,000 customers Europe-wide. The material breadth is remarkable: acrylic glass, PVC, stainless steel, aluminium, Dibond, wood, Styrofoam, rust finish, moss.

Their e-commerce style website allows you to navigate through dozens of products, each with their own respective construction types and specifications.  

There is also a product finder that can be helpful if you already know what you want. The website is packed with very useful technical information, but this can become overwhelming for non-technical users.

Despite the shop look, every order runs through product-specific inquiry forms. There's no instant price, no estimated delivery time, and no live preview of your logo either. You need to decide in advance the exact product type and variation you want for your logo.

Best suited for: buyers who already know their construction type and want a very broad assortment from one manufactory. 

6. Canberry: a retailer that ships across Europe

Canberry from Recklinghausen offers 3D logos, lightboxes, and lettering made of acrylic glass, stainless steel, aluminium or brass.

The company works with producers worldwide, arranges installation partners in Germany and Austria, and delivers Europe-wide. 

Part of their offering includes planning and project management of advertising systems which means: an initial consultation, design and calculations of your brand elements, project meeting to discuss the costs, finally followed by implementation through one of Canberry’s installation partners or by yourself.

The entry point presented  as a configurator is an inquiry form, and the quote follows by email. The website doesn't state prices upfront, but its products come with a Best Price guaranteed claim, supported by the worldwide producer network Canberry collaborates with.

Best suited for: price-aware B2B buyers who value consultation and are looking to outsource project planning and management and are not sensible about the manufacturing source.

7. form & fertig: XXL objects for events and trade fairs

form & fertig from Leipzig specializes in oversized letters and 3D objects made from Styrofoam and Styrodur. CNC-cut, painted or coated on request, all the way to product dummies and mold construction. For trade fairs, company celebrations and photo points that's a strong program, and a sample box is available on request. Alongside that, the team runs a smaller line for offices and shops: 3D company logos and lettering as wall decoration, primarily from Styrodur with up to 190 mm of depth, but also from Plexiglas, PVC hard foam, Dibond or wood, with a mounting template on request.

The ordering path is classic in both cases: inquiry form, quote, approval. Prices aren't on the website, and a digital product preview arrives, according to the provider, possibly with the quote, not before it. So if you want to see and price your wall logo before inquiring, you can't do it here. And for a facade or a brand mark with a metal character, the foams set the limit.

Best suited for: temporary XXL letters and decorative objects for events, trade fairs and campaigns, plus wall logos with strong depth for indoor use.

8. Kontur-24: a webshop with a price list instead of a preview

Kontur-24 has run an online shop for milled and lasered 3D letters, numbers and logos since 2009, and the material portfolio is enormous: acrylic glass in five variants, wood from MDF to solid timber, PVC, aluminium composite, metals from aluminium to stainless steel, natural stone like granite and marble, combination materials with HPL, linoleum or stone, plus illuminated letters. Prices sit openly in the shop, per letter and height tier, many materials can be booked in 48-hour production against a surcharge, and mounting systems including templates are available as options.

The catch is the experience. The shop visibly comes from another web era, pricing runs through option lists rather than a preview, ordering strictly requires a vector file, and the provider itself advises against using the shop on mobile. Installation is not offered, by their own account. If you work your way through, you get honest prices. Seeing how your own logo looks on the wall beforehand is not on the menu.

Best suited for: price-conscious do-it-yourselfers with a finished vector file who know exactly what they need, and anyone after unusual materials like natural stone.

8. Kennmal: 3D printing for small formats

Kennmal from Hanover prints 3D logos, lettering and wayfinding systems from PLA, a plastic based on renewable raw materials. Standard elements like door signs and symbols have fixed shop prices, shipping is free, and a sample is available at no cost. For 3D lettering there's even a simple text configurator: you type your text, set color, size and letter depth, and order straight from the page.

The configurator stops at text, though. Individual 3D logos run through an inquiry here, with a quote within 24 hours. And 3D printing has its limits: small to medium formats, indoor use, plastic feel. On top of that, the layer lines of the printing process stay visible on the surface, so the result looks less refined than a milled or cut piece, even in wayfinding systems. For office decor on a tight budget that's fine. For a logo that aims to communicate refinement and prestige, 3D printing is not the best choice.
