How much does a 3D Logo cost?

Prices read from the cadout configurator on 16 September 2026, incl. VAT, excl. shipping, standard delivery time.

The cost of a 3D logo depends on your design, size, material, and color scheme. In the Web2Cut configurator, you can upload your logo and see the price immediately, even as you change the material or size. The hands-on test below shows how much prices vary depending on the options you choose.

To give some clarity to a complex question like what is the cost for a 3D logo, we used our Web2Cut configurator to test different 100 cm wide motifs. In our test, the pricing ranged from 239,00 € to 5.801,50 €, depending on the material and colouring method we chose, but also the design's size and complexity. Another factor heavily influencing the pricing is whether the logo lights up or not.

The result of the test is a final price of the 3D logos, based on the motifs we uploaded to the configurator. Because our pricing is transparent and deterministic, we know that these prices would not change based on daily quotations or demand.

All materials compared here are high-end and produced in Germany.

How we tested

We ran two motifs from two fictional brands, one complex and one simple, through three materials, acrylic glass, aluminium composite and hard foam, and added a full acrylic body, backlit LED version of both. Every price is calculated at standard delivery time. Size and mounting on distance holders (Distanzhalter A) stayed the same throughout. In a second test, we ran the simple motif through unpainted metal and wood.

We tested each of the three materials with two colouring methods. The first is UV printing, which prints every colour in one configuration, including gradients and any specific colour. The second works with RAL colours: dyed-through acrylic glass, aluminium composite with a coloured surface and lacquered hard foam. Here, the configurator takes the colours from your file and matches each one to the closest RAL shade. As long as you don't need a specific colour and are fine with a RAL shade, you can also opt for these colouring methods.

With RAL, each element can have only one color, so if your design has gradients or elements that carry several colours, UV printing is the way to go.

In a second test, we configured the simple design in metal and wood to see pricing for a natural color logo.

The two motifs

test logos

The complex one is a fish jumping out of the water, set in a badge with a tagline. It has three colours, fine lines, a fishing rod that loops back on itself and water splashes cut as separate specks. Cut size 100 × 84,4 cm. In the RAL versions, the dark blue and yellow stay, and the turquoise water changes to the closest RAL shade, a light blue, a pastel blue or a grey depending on the material.

The simple one is a wordmark in black lettering with a small blue turtle icon, closed letterforms and nothing thinner than a letter stroke. Cut size 100 × 22,5 cm. The icon is blue inside a black outline, so it counts as one element with two colours, and in the RAL versions it comes out entirely black.

What complexity costs

Both logos are 100 cm wide, but the fish badge is almost four times as tall as the turtle wordmark. That alone means more material and more machine time.

The design changes how the logo is cut as well. Around the badge's fine details the machine changes direction constantly and follows a much longer cutting path, while the wordmark's closed letterforms cut quickly. These factors influence pricing heavily.

The colouring method matters too, because each one comes with its own production steps. UV-printed acrylic glass is built from two layers and printed on the back, so the colours sit behind its glossy surface. Dyed acrylic already has its colour in the sheet and only needs to be cut. That is why the 8 mm dyed version costs less than the 6 mm printed one. Aluminium composite with a coloured surface is also cheaper than its printed version.

Hard foam works the other way round. The lacquered version is painted by hand on the front and sides and starts at 19 mm, so it costs about twice as much as the printed 8 mm version. Most of that difference comes from the paint rather than the thickness. Printed at the same 19 mm, the fish costs 1.474,50 €, and lacquered it costs 2.422,00 €.

Lit or unlit

The LED logos in this comparison are premium products, made of full-body acrylic and finished by hand. Cheap LED signs with hollow bodies cost less, but dirt collects inside them and they turn yellow over time, so the two can't be compared on price.

The prices below are for the backlit build, lacquered in RAL.

Lit, the fish badge costs about 3,1 times its UV-printed acrylic version and the turtle about 3,2 times. Both are acrylic, so the difference lies in the build rather than the material. The lit body is 20 mm deep instead of 6 mm and lacquered on the front and sides.

When the logo keeps its metallic or natural look

The turtle wordmark kept its 100 × 22,5 cm size for this test. Veneer plywood, stainless steel, aluminium, oak and Corten steel are not painted, so each shows its own surface.

Apart from Corten, the prices sit between 239,00 € and 350,50 €, so the choice usually comes down to the look and whether the logo hangs indoors or outdoors. Corten costs more and is mounted parallel to the wall with drilled holes.

If your logo is less about intense brand colours and more about strong, high-contrast reflections, metallic surfaces are a convincing alternative.

Titanium-coated stainless steel gives you a long-lasting, highly reflective surface in premium metal tones such as mirror gold, rose gold or black titanium. The material looks architectural, precise and very present.

Aluminium composite panels with a mirror finish, often called mirror Dibond, are the lighter alternative. Their flat, highly reflective surface looks like a classic mirror, but weighs far less and is harder to break.

Both materials create an intense, high-quality effect and react strongly to the light around them. When it comes to matching colours, though, there is one clear limitation. Neither titanium-coated stainless steel nor mirror-finish aluminium composite can be matched exactly to a specific Pantone or RAL brand colour.

Instead, you choose from the metallic surfaces and coated shades available. That makes these materials the right choice when reflective, metallic brilliance matters more than reproducing one exact brand colour.

Shipping and installation

The prices in this article are for the logo including VAT and standard shipping. Additional costs that might occur, depending on your preference are extra shipping costs for express delivery and installation, if case you choose to hire someone to help you with mounting the logo.

Your logo arrives ready to install, and apart from simple tools, everything you need comes in the package. Self-adhesive versions come with a positioning template, spacer versions with a drilling template. You also get fixings for your mounting option, such as dowels, screws and spacer sleeves, elements already prepared on the back and an illustrated step-by-step guide. If you'd still like a tradesperson to put it up for you, that is an additional cost to plan for.

Run your own numbers

We ran these tests to show how wide the price range for a 3D logo can be. At one end are colourful logos with fine details, printed, lacquered or lit. At the other are minimalist logos in metal or wood that keep their natural look and don't need a paint job. In our test, the prices ranged from 239,00 € to 5.801,50 €.

The best way to find out exactly what your logo will cost is to simulate it in the configurator. Upload your file, try different materials and colours, and you'll see the price next to a realistic 3D preview of your logo.

3D Logo Pricing in a Nutshell

Every logo is made from your digital upload, so the Web2Cut configurator calculates the price for your design and your material. You see it right after uploading.

How do I get a price for my logo?

Upload your logo in the configurator and choose material, size and colour. The price appears straight away, so you don't have to wait for a quote.

What influences the price of my 3D logo?

Mainly the size, the complexity of the design, the material, the colour system (UV print or RAL) and whether the logo is illuminated.
