Our configurator handles all of this automatically and free of charge for you:

Automatic File Conversion

Phew! With so many file formats, it can sometimes be difficult to keep track. We're here to help by accepting all common raster and vector formats during motif upload. The configurator converts the files so that our automatic price calculation can analyze the motif correctly and calculate the effort accurately. We aim to always produce the best possible result from every file. Further information on which formats to prefer and how to ideally set up your file can be found below or here. Depending on the file format, the conversion (loading symbol in the configurator) may take a little while..

Vector formats (PDF, EPS, & SVG) are strongly preferred if available. Tip: You may not be able to open or display EPS or SVG files on your computer because you lack the corresponding software. However, they will be displayed correctly in the configurator.

For raster or pixel graphics (JPG & PNG), it's important to always choose the version of your graphic that has the best quality. The higher the resolution of the graphic (e.g., 2000x1500 pixels), the better. Our configurator will automatically vectorize the graphic.

You can also directly upload native formats (DOCX, AI, & PSD); however, if possible, we prefer exporting to PDF or EPS.

Intelligent Crop Function

Our cropping AI is extremely powerful and helps you remove unwanted backgrounds or distracting elements from your uploaded graphic/photo to achieve your desired motif. In most cases, the automatic cropping does a perfect job; however, if individual editing is necessary, you can use the manual mode. This mode is also very easy to use without any software knowledge.

After uploading your motif, you can choose between two modes in the configurator under the "Crop & Cut" step:

In automatic mode ("CONTINUE AUTOMATICALLY"), the AI automatically detects what belongs to the motif and removes the background. This works very well not only if the graphic you uploaded already contains only the motif (and may already be cropped), but also with complex and ambiguous backgrounds. It's like magic - try it out!

In manual mode ("CROP YOURSELF"), you can decide for yourself which part of your graphic you want to use as a stencil or 3D cutout. Watch the short (2-minute) explanation video to understand the simple functions of our cropping AI.

"But I'm not good with computers." <-- That's you? No worries, anyone can do it, promised!

Automatic Vectorization

The manufacturing processes we use (laser cutting, milling, and cutting plotter) require vector graphics as a basis to derive machine-usable files from them. Therefore, you will often be rejected by other producers if you cannot provide a vector format. To still enable you to place an order, we use an continuously evolving vectorization algorithm in our configurator that converts your JPG or PNG into a vector graphic free of charge.

Raster or pixel graphics are composed of pixels, which are tiny dots containing color and brightness information that together create the image. In short, a raster graphic is a pixel grid data structure that typically displays a rectangular grid of pixels.

Vector graphics are constructed from points and lines (or simple geometric shapes) called paths. The areas enclosed by these paths can contain fills, which determine the coloration of the motif. Vector formats are scalable without loss of quality and are unambiguous in terms of production. CNC-controlled manufacturing machines cut along the paths.

The vectorization algorithm detects contrasts between different groups of pixels and generates paths along these contrast lines to create the vector graphic. The quality of the result largely depends on the resolution of the raster graphic used. In the "Result & Price" step in the configurator, the vectorized result will be displayed to you.

Intelligent Pricing Calculation

This is so f...ing cool! Precision pricing and quotation creation are typically very time-consuming and therefore costly. A manually created quote is never truly "free," as the effort involved usually comes at the expense of the ordering customer and is reflected in the product price.

With us, it's different. After product selection, uploading the graphic, and setting the desired size, our intelligent pricing calculation analyzes your motif/product in great detail and automatically and free of charge calculates a price with approximately 20 relevant parameters. Among other factors, parameters such as cutting length/machine runtime, material consumption, waste, nesting capability with other orders, number of necessary processing steps in file preparation (e.g., setting bridges for stencils, positioning spacers for 3D cuts), setup effort, handling effort, packaging effort, and quantity discounts are taken into account in the calculation.

No more waiting for quotes. Prices and delivery times are calculated and displayed to you immediately in the configurator. Your customers change their request multiple times? No problem - quantities, sizes, or motifs can be adjusted in seconds, and you'll receive an updated price.
