Which manufacturing processes are used to produce your cut outs? What are the advantages of the different technologies? How do we ensure our high standard of quality?

From design to contour cut

To best meet your design needs and, for example, implement your logo without compromise, we work with a large network of production partners who have the maximum expertise for the respective materials and manufacturing technologies. Through constant exchange and joint product development, we guarantee adherence to our high-quality standards across the entire range of products.

Laser cutting:

Laser cutting is a thermal cutting process in which the material is locally melted by a highly focused laser beam and burned or carried away in reaction with a gas.

  • Very delicate and detailed cuts are possible.
  • Very clean cut edges - especially with acrylic glass, it resembles a polished surface.
  • Application for the following materials:

Milling:

A machining process in which material is removed from a workpiece using a rotating tool, the milling cutter, to produce the desired shape.

  • Pockets & recesses possible
  • Small radii are created at inner corners due to the milling cutter
  • Clean & precise cut edges even with large material depths
  • Application for the following materials:

Venyl cutting:

Plotting or cutting is a mechanical cutting process used for films. Elements not belonging to the subject are manually removed after cutting before the product is assembled on transfer film for mounting.

  • 100% contour accuracy
  • Allows for very delicate line widths in texts
  • Application for the following materials:

3D printing:

For various reasons, we have currently decided against offering products made in this way. However, for those explicitly interested in a 3D printing implementation, we are happy to refer you to our esteemed industry colleagues at kennmal.

3D printing using FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) is an additive process where a thermoplastic filament (PLA) is applied layer by layer to create three-dimensional objects.

  • Characteristic, roughly textured surface, glossy grain on the side surfaces
  • Several, different depths easily implementable
  • Outdoor use (lack of heat resistance) currently not possible
